Our Ministry

Stonington Baptist Church provides ministry opportunities for all ages.

Sunday School classes are provided for age at 9 AM each Sunday morning.  Age appropriate classes for children and topical studies for adults.
Morning Worship is at 10 AM and includes a “blended” music ministry and a message from the Word of God from our Pastor and sometimes from a guest speaker.

Sunday Evening  service is at 6:00 PM and features the singing of traditional hymns, testimony time, sometimes a Bible Drill or Bible game and a message from God’s Word


Wednesday Evening – Family Ministries

Awana Clubs for ages K-6 meet at 6:30 PM to 8:15 PM, September through April.  Awana’s focus is on Scripture memorization and includes fun game times and a Bible message for children at the end of the evening.

Stonington’s Youth Ministry meets year round each Wednesday in “The Rock” at 6:30.  This ministry  for 7th – 12th grade is directed by Youth Pastor Nathan Clark.  Teaching centers on Bible study and major doctrines of the faith with an emphasis on the Christian disciplines of daily quiet time, Scripture memory, and Christian service through materials provided by Word of Life Fellowship.

Prayer Meeting  for adults meets at 7 PM all year long.  Prayer requests and Praise items are exchanged and prayed about.  The Pastor or an Elder leads the Bible Study.


Seasonal Ministries

    The Central Penn Missionary Conference.  SBC participates in an annual springtime, 4 day missions conference with 8 other area churches.  The conference includes a wide variety of missionaries working on many fields and in many ways from many different faith missions boards.

    Upward Basketball and Cheerleading for children grades K-6. Registration begins in November and games run from January to March.   There are registration and equipment fees associated with this ministry.

Snow Camp  at Word of Life in the Adirondack Mountains in New York.  Snow Camp is for 7th-12th grades.  The trip is usually sponsored during the month of January.

Summer Camp for Teens – As announced each spring, at Word of Life in Schroon Lake NY.

Summer Camp for Children – Many of SBC families enroll their children in camps offered by the Good News Clubs of Northumberland County.  Information about other Christian camps is made available on the literature table.

Rochester City Ministry  with Pastor Marvin Robinson.  Dates to be announced.

Other events for Teens are planned throughout the year by the Youth Pastor and staff.


Social Ministries

“Unifidelis” is an adult fellowship group that usually meets on the first Saturday evening of each month at an attendees home.  Several trips or events are sponsored by the group during the year.
